Sony One: Content Access Controls
Sony One faced a challenge stemming from varying legal compliance requirements across countries such as Brazil, Mexico, the United States, and Argentina. Each market imposed different age and content access restrictions, which significantly influenced our product design approach. This case study explores how my team and I tackled the challenge of creating a scalable white-label OTT platform that adheres to diverse legal and content access regulations. Our solution not only addressed Sony One’s needs but also benefited other clients leveraging the same white-label framework, including Virgin Media and WatchFreeUK.
